It's beauty that captures your attention;

personality which captures your heart.

Tips for breaking into the industry:

INVEST MONEY IN A GOOD PORTFOLIO

If you are starting off in the industry I cannot emphasise highly enough the importance of spending money on a good portfolio. These days many clients choose models directly from agencies websites, therefore, the better your photos are, the more chance you have of being picked for lucrative jobs. I would also recommend paying for a makeup artist and possibly a hair stylist as well. If you are going to sell yourself, you want to showcase yourself in the best possible way.

GLAMOUR MODELLING

There seems to be a lot of confusion these days about where to draw the line here. Girls, while we at Pose have nothing against girls who wish to do topless or glamour modelling, please be advised that Ireland is still an old fashioned place and many clients will take exception to girls who have done this kind of work. Therefore, we would not send a girl who we know has done topless/art nude work to a casting for eg, a supermarket commercial or a kitchen brochure. There is more money to be made from commercial modelling so please be aware that if you go down the glamour route than you are limiting your chances for more conventional commercial modelling. If you are not interested in this, then by all means, work away!

BE REALISTIC

We don't make the rules...to be a catwalk model you do have to be 5'8 or above and a size 8, unless it's for a wedding show or something similar.
